We've purchased a home but the backyard is on a hill, like step type hills. There's the deck and below is flat, than goes down and another flat area and than down again and flat again. Any websites that have pictures or ideas where we cam make this yard kids friendly, we have 3 kids

Hi there.
I live in St. Louis, MO and have a 5000 sq ft hillside I need to cover. Currently, it's completely covered in mulch. I'd like to pull up the mulch and plant some sort of ground cover to give a nicer look to the hillside. The hillside is in the full sun and I'm looking for something with very little maintenance.
Without breaking the bank, any suggestions?

I agree with glen t.....a low growing juniper would be nice....Last year we did a landscape job for a customer that had a hill for her front yard...we planted blue rug juniper and mixed in creeping phlox around the bottom.( I'm in zone5-6 )
I just moved to an area just south of the Hill Country in Medina County TX. I am establishing a yard and have deer to contend with. I need plants and shrubs that they will leave alone and that can resist heat and high humidity.
