I'm not sure what the proper term is for this "instrument" is (weedwhacker, weedeater) and I don't really know anything about landscaping appliances. I just wanted to know what sort of fuel I need to use this John Deere c1200 thing. My dad used to use it and I remember him saying that it needs a special fuel or mixture of things. Does anyone know what it is and/or where to buy it?
It's going to need a mixture of oil and gasoline that you make yourself. Check the owners manual or the fuel tank for the exact ratio. On my trimmer, the cap to the fuel tank gives the ratio as 50:1 gas:oil.

I want a John Deere lawn tractor because my property is too big to maintain with my push mower, and I don't want to have to pay a landscaping company.
I'd say that if you have more than an acre of land to maintain, you might want to consider a lawn tractor. Hey, you can even start your OWN landscaping business on the side if you discover that you enjoy doing it. John Deere lawn tractors are cool because they have so many add-ons from aerators to sprayers, etc.. Expect to spend between $1000-3000 for a new one.

CARY, North Carolina (August 20, 2009)— John Deere Landscapes is pleased to introduce its new LESCO Z-Two Spreader/Sprayer, now available for pre-order.
The Z-Two Spreader/Sprayer contains a 19-HP, high-performance Kawasaki engine, appropriate for any tough application. Granular and liquid products can be applied in a single pass with the agility of Zero Turn control, ultimately optimizing productivity on the jobsite.
The unit features ergonomic controls, an extra-wide stance for stability and high ground clearance. The Z-Two comes complete with a 40-gallon liquid application tank and hand-held wand for spot spraying. The unique wand is an 82-inch, five-nozzle, electric solenoid boom that operates left, right, center or in all directions. The unit also features a 125-lb. LESCO electric spreader with remote-actuated gate and side deflector.
...John Deere's Construction Equipment Will Use Engines With EGR ...
MOLINE, Illinois (September 3, 2009) — John Deere will use cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) engines with exhaust filters consisting of a diesel oxidation catalyst/diesel particulate filter in its construction equipment to meet the 2011 Interim Tier 4 (iT4)/Stage III B emissions regulations mandated by the EPA and EU for diesel engines 174 hp and above.
"We're looking to provide the simplest iT4 solution for equipment users, all while delivering the productivity, uptime and low daily operating costs that customers expect from Deere," said Joe Mastanduno, product marketing manager, engines and drivetrains, for John Deere Construction & Forestry. "We believe cooled EGR with exhaust filters is the right technology right now."
