We have some uneven spots in our yard and would like to have some trees planted. We already have red granite along the sides of the house and the garage, but the plastic edging is not straight in some places. Due to very hectice schedules, we are thinking about hiring a professional landscaping service. Just curious if anyone has done that and what the costs might be.

Most landscapers work by the hour some will work for a set fee. Sounds like project could be larger than you think time you fill some holes plant some trees and replace the edging---I would think depending on the job of coarse you could get it done for 750-1200 plus the material. I am assuming it would take longer than a day it sounds like to me

What is the average cost for landscape curbing in Southern Cal? I think it is a price per foot, right?

Call several contractors and ask their price. That's the best way to go about it. Then you have definite numbers to go by and you can tell which contractor is the cheapest.

There are too many variables to consider. But a ball park figure might be anywhere from 2,500 to 9,000 or more.

The condo association pays for the exterior of the property which includes, lights, garbage, pools, fitness center (if applicable), painting, roofing, parking lot repairs, landscaping and water. However, each month you pay Home Owners Dues which help to cover the cost of maintaining the common areas. Depending on the size of your complex they can vary in cost from $100.00 per month to $500.00 per month. The last place I Iived was a small 24 unit condo and I paid $300.00 per month, the place I live now has over 136 units and the HOA dues are $109.00 for penthouses and $136.00 for townhouses. Where ever you decide to purchase you need to find out up front what the HOA dues are.

I have a corner lot, so access is not an issue. I would like to have a 16 X 32 kidney shaped inground pool installed. Back yard has plenty of room and my house is serviced by city water. I would go with the liner system. Assuming nothing particularly crazy in terms of landscaping, can someone advise the average run of the mill installation cost. Also, is it much more to go with the salt water system over the chlorine?

i live bicoastal and have one in Tn i paid 50,000 to put in but it is tiled and not a liner and is 10 ft deep..

but i stay in la mirada as well and used to stay in an apt in the inland empire area and i assure you nothing out there is cheap for a kidney shape pool about 6 ft inground your still going to be looking at 35,000 out there and im assumeing this is a small lot like most are out there,,, But you can consider it an investment , but i hope you have time to maintain it daily because they are a pain in the azz...
If id have known what i know now i would never have had it installed,,, there are times id like to fill it in with dirt,,, and we have the automatic salt and cholrene machine but something always breaks
