I'm not sure this will answer your question, but Google Sketch-Up does allow you to import your photos and create a 3D landscape representation. Outside of this, I don't know that many other software packages allow you to import photos.

3d landscape design using Google Sketchup. www.mestasdesign.com

I don't mean anything like 3D Home Architect or 3D Landscape Design. I'm talking about something like 3DS Max or Maya. Programs that can create 3D Environments, but more for beginners, for people who don't know how to create a 3D Modelled Environment, where all the templates are already built in, you would just have to pick the terrain, pick what you want in it, select the time of day, then it would do the rest. Anything out there like that?

Other programs are :
Terragen and Worldmachine (both downloadable and with free versions).

You can use blender 3d, it is a free, open source program and it is great for modeling, landscapes or characters. Maya and 3d studio max cost around $1000. Go to www.blender.org to download it.

I want to have a 3D landscape. When I mouse left it moves left. When I mouse right it moves right. When I mouse up it moves in. When I mouse down it moves out. So how do you suggest I do this 3D movement the best way. Any good tutorials.
