Ive just bought a garden tap kit but my kitchen units are boxed in and i cant reach any pipes. The only pipes visible are the ones running to my boiler. Is it possible to attach the tap to the cold water pipe running to my boiler ? Would this cause any problems ?

heres the problem,we bought a new hose for the garden and when we put it on the tap it works fine but hardly any water comes through it.it just kinda...trickles.

First take the hose off and turn the water on if the water is still barely comes out than you have a major calsium build up in the valve its self. Or the valve might be old and stripped causeing the rubber ring to remain closed and then that will need to be replaced. check the water pressure from faucet needs to be at least 35 p.s.i.'s

Trace the pipe from the garden tap to the kitchen connection. Is it still connected, is there a valve shutoff. If not, they got debris in the line when they did the work. If you can't get them, shut the house water off, unscrew the large nut off the tap and remove the insert, Have someone turn the water on and blow out the line.
