I need to attach a garden hose to my sink but the faucet is smaller than the screw on part of the hose. I unscrewed the bottom of my faucet and these numbers were written but I don't know how they help me. A112.181M 2.2gpm 8.3L/min
What can i buy to attach the hose to the sink. It can be screwed on, it just needs to be smaller than a hose screw on size.

I was given a belfast sink, my fatehr had it in his garden with plants growing. But we had to take the soil out, as it was so heavy.

What flowers would really set it off, and how would I go about planting them,.
I just want something colourful, and easy to maintain...I'm not very good at gardening.

Sempervivums,(House leeks) are attractive,under plant with dwarf daffs;(Tete a tete is good),these are available now in pots,just knock them out of the pot and plant.
Polyanthus are colourful subjects for a sink garden as are pansies,winter flowering varieties can be planted now and follow with summer flowering types.
Hope this gives some ideas for instant colour,don't overfill the sink-all the above can be planted immediately.

CAn you tell whether old garden seeds will still germinate, based on whether they float or sink in a glass of water?

That's really not reliable... some seed types float naturally; others sink naturally. It doesn't really say whether they're viable or not.

i dont think it has a special name, if you go to a home depot or lowes and ask for the adaptor facet to hose they will understand, if only well just google my freind and you shoud get many sites that sell it

Will the health department (in the US) jump up and down, if you ran pipes to connect these forms of water, along with a rain collecting container, and a pump to disburse, instead of using water from our well, on a garden?

maybe OK for flower but I would also look for where is your well at? don't know if you should take and use gray water around a well area. By the way I'm a building inspector and wells have to be tested before the sale of any house and there check will include a test for nitrates in the water.
