If you have a lot of pruning it probably is worth the expense. But don't buy a small cheap one,they are a waste of money. The firm I used to work for had a Titan-Pro 13hp petrol, and was a very useful machine. These machines will cost between 900-1200$ (450-600 GBP)
It's up to you if you think it is worth it for your circumstances. The above machine has a large hopper for leave and smaller trimmings up to 16mm dia. and a side shute for larger branches up to 75mm dia. Very handy. These machine are on wheels and are rather large, so storage must be considered .
If you do opt to purchase, whatever you do DO NOT lend it out. I guarantee it will come back damaged.

we have borrowed a mountfield quiet garden shredder 2200w and a piece of wood got stuck in it so my partner used a long handled screwdriver to move the stuck piece, unfortunately dropped it in the shredder and the aluminium plate had snapped we cant afford to replace the shredder but are hoping to replace the part - please can someone help urgently i have tried looking on the net but it is not easy trying to find info with a 2 year old hanging on your arm! :(

The fuse was blown in the house. When i switch the circuit breaker on it switches off again. Any ideas as to why??
