I'm currently using Garden of Life's Perfect Cleanse Kit. It's a 10 day program and I'm on day 7 but I haven't had very good results with it. I've been having headaches and haven't had a bm upon arising as it states I should be having during the program, so I'm wanting to accompany a day or two of the program by doing a water fast. The instructions state that I should drink plenty of water during the program and I am drinking lots of water already, but I am also eating normally throughout the day (my 3 meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner at regular times of the day - no junk food or fast food either). So do you think it would be safe or a good idea to do a 1 or 2 day water fast while I'm on this Perfect Cleanse program?
Those "cleansing" kits are a waste of money. They're no good. Most won't harm you, but it's not going to clean out your system or help you lose weight. And they are causing the headaches. Want to clean out your system? Eat foods high in fiber. Or take a fiber supplement like Metamucil 3 times a day for a week. That helps put liquid in your colon and will push all the stuff stuck to the sides--out. Gross, I know, but that's what you need and those kits do not do it. Eat some whole grains, get some Fiber One cereal (it has the highest fiber of any cereal) and drink plenty of water. But no kit and no water fast. That will just make you feel much worse and those headaches--well, you'll want to amputate at the neck it will get so bad.

I've tried a lot of different things to help my skin, and I must admit it is a lot better than it was when I was 14-16 when my skin had moderate acne. But I'm about to be 19 in a couple months, and am sick and tired of having stubborn zits all around my face. I've been drinking a lot of water, and trying to eat fruits and veggies, I wash my face 2x a day with Origins cleanser, followed with toner, perscription Benzeclin (night) or Tazorac (day). I also have recently been trying putting lemon juice on my skin. I take 2 Garden of Life Perfect Food vitamins and one of vitamin A at night.
But...everyday I still have zits, whether its the same ones, new ones, or ones that haven't surfaced yet but hurt. What can I do? Oh and I've tried Proactive and been to the dermatologist, and she's done everything she can (but I'm not going on Accutane!) Is there some sort of detox cleanse I can do, or a specific vitamine that will help me, or a magical cream?(I'm kidding about the cream lol)Thanks!
okay i really suggest you do this cleansing. I just got this book
and i plan to start this tomorow. The book is called The Master Cleanser by Stanley Burroughs. You can buy it a Whole Foods store or maybe any other health store! And although some websites about it says that its wieght lose it will only make you lose as much as your body needs to and if you are underweight than it will actually make you gain to the actual size you need to be. But it really helps clear your pimples, acne, zits, etc. because to cure your skin from these things you need to take out all the toxins in you blood and so forth!

If Adam had gotten to the tree of life in the Garden of Eden the Bible says that Adam would have eternal life as a human. So why do people today think that when they die they go to Heaven? God's original purpose for man was to live on the earth and to expand that beautiful Garden earth wide. Jesus gave His perfect life and a randsom for an exchange which would made it possible for man to regain perfect life on the earth like it was intended"the meek shall inherit the earth"!God had already made His spirit creatures in the Heavens. The Bible says that the angels appaudedat God's creations. Also another point of interest is that God 's first creation was Jesus!!!Proverbs 8:22-30. Some food for thought.
If the false religions of today took all of their traditions and man made teachings out their followeres would know this. As Jesus tho the religious leaders of His time" You are like blind men leading the blind, you both fall into the pit or grave{ not hell as taught} .
The Tree of Life is an important symbol in nearly every culture. With its branches reaching into the sky, and roots deep in the earth, it dwells in three worlds- a link between heaven, the earth, and the underworld, uniting above and below. It is both a feminine symbol, bearing sustenance, and a masculine, visibly phallic symbol- another union.
In Jewish and Christian mythology, a tree sits at the center of both the Heavenly and Earthly Edens. The Norse cosmic World Ash, Ygdrassil, has its roots in the underworld while its branches support the abode of the Gods. The Egyptian's Holy Sycamore stood on the threshold of life and death, connecting the worlds. To the Mayas, it is Yaxche, whose branches support the heavens.

For JWs ONLY! Others feel free to read, but Im only looking for a response from other JWs across the board.....
What scriptures have you found benefical in the ministry? For reaching the heart?
While other JWs are answering this... I think I will share this... Today at the meeting the brother that gave the talk said this in his talk... Jehovah gave Adam the perfect Garden of Eden, with Perfect food. Adam had a pefect life, he also had a perfect wife. Then Adam sinned Pefectly, and then left us in a Perfect mess! LOL Just thought I would share... So what is your favorite scriptures out in the ministry my brothers and sisters?
Agape!!!
Hi boo! I am so sorry you feel that way.. Of course it is not that... We go door to door encouraging people to read their Bible... It is something VERY important. I was asking other fellow JWs what scriptures they like to use when going door to door... I pulled them out of the crowd because my questions was directed to them because this is something WE do, they have experience with this. :) We encourage you to continue reading your Bible, Daily, then make application of it in your life. That is wonderful! :))))
I tried thinking but.... Oh! I don't know!! I found too many of them!!
I think nothing beats the feeling I get when I show someone something from the Bible that they had never seen before- they'd even go quiet, read it again in an undertone, and you can see the wonder and appreciation make their eyes shine. That's reward enough for me- knowing I'm helping others develop a relationship with Jehovah God.
(Ecc 9:5,6; Rev 21:3,4; 1 John 5:19; Psalms 83:18, Rev 7:4, 9; Rev 14:1; Psalm 37:9, 11; Acts 10:34, 35 and Isaiah 35:5,6 to name a few!!)
Someone here said that it could have been a possibility that Eden was in Africa, and I think it's true because of the variety of flora and fauna that Africa used to have. It would have been the perfect place for an Eden.
Gen 2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward, in Eden; and there He put the man whom He had formed.
Gen 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Gen 2:10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became four heads.
I am not asking this question to atheists lol.......
You people are weird Lil. I wish I could find the guy who said that. He gave a great logical response. I should have saved it to my bookmarks.
Thanks Gabe that was what I was looking for.
Suspected locations
There have been a number of claims as to the actual geographic location of the Garden of Eden, though many of these have little or no connection to the text of Genesis. Most put the Garden somewhere in the Middle East near Mesopotamia. Locations as diverse as Ethiopia, Java, Sri Lanka (Adam's Peak), the Seychelles, Brabant, Jackson County, Missouri and Bristol, Florida have all been proposed as locations for the garden. Some Christian theologians believe that the Garden never had a terrestrial existence, but was instead an adjunct to heaven as it became identified with Paradise (see below).
The text asserts that the Garden was planted in the eastern part of the region known as Eden and that in Eden the river divided into four branches: Hiddekel (also known as Tigris), Euphrates, Pishon and Gihon. The identity of the former two are commonly accepted, though the latter two rivers have been the subject of endless argument. But if the Garden of Eden had really been near the sources of the Tigris and the Euphrates, then the original narrators in the land of Canaan would have identified it as located generally in the Taurus Mountains, in Anatolia. Satellite photos reveal two dry riverbeds flowing toward the Persian Gulf near where the Tigris and Euphrates also terminate. While this accounts for four easterly flowing rivers, those who believe the garden to be at the source of the rivers disregard this information.
Some literalists point out that the world of Eden's time was destroyed during Noah's Flood and it is therefore impossible to place the Garden anywhere in post-flood geography. There is also an attempt to tie this with the mystical sunken land of Atlantis. One favourite location is Sundaland in the South China Sea. In this theory the current Tigris and Euphrates rivers would not be the ones referred to in the narrative, but later rivers named after two of the earlier rivers, just as in more modern times colonists would name features of their new land after similar features in their homeland. This idea also resolves the apparent problem in the theory that the rivers had a common source, which the current rivers do not.
One recent claim by archaeologist David Rohl puts the garden in the north-western Iran. According to him, the Garden is a river valley east of the Sahand Mountain, near Tabriz. He cites several geological similarities with Biblical descriptions, and multiple linguistic parallels as evidence. The Medians lived in this area before founding the Persian Empire.
The Urantia Book (1955) places the Garden of Eden in a long narrow peninsula projecting westward from the eastern shores of the Mediterranean and having been long ago submerged in connection with volcanic activity and the submergence of a Sicilian land bridge to Africa, features unidentified by geologists.
Another theory is that the textual descriptions are from the perspective of Adam and Eve, that is, from within the garden. From their viewpoint you would be looking upstream to see the river leaving Eden and entering the garden. Further upstream and further into Eden the river parts into four separate rivers. Following each of these upstream will lead you to their headwaters. This theory also puts the Garden of Eden in the vicinity of the northern end of the Persian Gulf.

Garden of Life Perfect Food Super Green Formula, 21.16-Ounce Jar
Yes, it does look and taste pretty disgusting. BUT you aren't drinking it for taste and if you're using this you've probably tried some pretty weird things before. I like it for how it makes me feel and am already seeing some benefits in my digestive system. I mix mine with a small amount of juice (6-8oz) and chugged it all down at once. Apple juice is good but my new favorite is to mix it with an all natural raspberry lemonade. I tried it with water and had to pour it out. Definitely try it with the juice!
